GETTING TO KNOW OUR MKT FAMILY - The Pyzer Family
Laura and Jeremy Pyzer, who live in Boulder City, have belonged to Midbar Kodesh Temple for almost a decade. Laura, who was raised in Phelan, a small city in Southern California, has been in Las Vegas since 1999 and Jeremy, raised outside of San Francisco in Fremont, California, has been in Las Vegas since 1995. Laura has worked in Marketing and Advertising at both MGM Resorts and Caesars, until opening up her own agency 8 years ago. She is CEO and Owner of PyTown Marketing, a local advertising agency focusing on the Strip. Her key client list includes top entertainers as Carrot Top and Terry Fator. She is a co-founder of Boulder City Community Alliance, a member of American Association of University Women, and sits on the Marketing Committee for United Way of Southern Nevada. Jeremy has worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years as a General Manager, and is recently with Victory Hill Exhibitions where he operates the Hunger Games Exhibit at MGM Grand and the Marvel Avengers STATION at TI.
Laura is beginning her second term on the MKT Board of Directors, taking interest in Midbar's educational committees as her children continue their education at Midbar Kodesh Temple. Laura will soon be helping Midbar Kodesh Temple with their public relations outreach. Laura and Jeremy have two young children. Rebecca has attended MKT's ECC for several years and Sarah, who graduated from the ECC, and is currently a Kadimanik, attends MKT Religious School. The children are being schooled at home during the pandemic. Before the pandemic Laura and the girls enjoyed attending services each week, sitting in the back row, giving room for Rebecca to be comfortable.
Laura says that "while we miss seeing our Midbar family in person, it has been wonderful to see familiar faces on Zoom. 2020 has made our family sit back and really slow down and get to know each other on a deeper level, and for that I am grateful." That being said, Laura and Jeremy look forward to resuming life with their family in whatever will be the "new normal."
