GETTING TO KNOW OUR MKT FAMILY - SUSAN & RICHARD KATZ

Susan and Richard Katz, who moved to Las Vegas in 1996 from Newburgh, New York, recently joined Midbar Kodesh Temple. In Newburgh they owned their own wholesale candy and tobacco companies. In Las Vegas they have been employed by the food industry with Susan being a credit and collection manager for Freshpoint, a subsidiary of Sysco Foods, and Richard a district sales manager for Naked Juice and then Hubert's Lemonade and Eternal Water.

The Katz's have a daughter living in Las Vegas. Their son and daughter in law are both Chiropractors in Boulder, Colorado, and their granddaughter started college this year.

Susan has performed amateur stand up comedy. She is also a certified child care technician taking care of newborn babies in a hospital setting. Susan loves to read and play words with friends. She enjoys hiking and traveling. She is a member of Hadassah, is President of a local HOA and has served on the board of Henderson's Desert Newcomers.

Richard has served as President of Jewish Community Center in Newburgh, NY. He ran casino night as a fundraiser for the Newburgh JCC and taught wrestling at the JCC as well.

Susan and Richard joined Midbar Kodesh Temple as they have many friends who are already members and were told how warm and welcoming the synagogue is. They look forward to meeting new friends and participating in the many services and activities offered by the synagogue.
