Mazel Tov Alayna and Matt!
Alayna Baron and Matt Baram were recently married at Midbar Kodesh Temple by Rabbi Jason Fruithandler, from Sinai Temple in Los Angeles. MKT's Rabbi Bradley Tecktiel shared a few words before welcoming Rabbi Fruithandler, a personal friend of Alayna and Matt, to the chuppah.
Alayna, daughter of Bonni and Dr. Howard Baron, granddaughter to Gene and Rhoda Engelson and the late Eileen and Max Baron, was raised in Henderson, and is a graduate of University of Arizona-Tucson, where she received her teaching degree. She teaches at the Pressman Academy at Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles.
Matt who was raised in Connecticut and studied at Boston University and American Jewish University, is son of Paula and David Baram, also of Connecticut. He is the Millennium Director at Sinai Temple in Los Angeles, overseeing young adult, youth programming and United Synagogue Youth (USY).
Alayna, who was a MKT USYer in her teens, and Matt met at a regional kinnus in Los Angeles, when Alayna served as USY Director of Midbar Kodesh Temple. A week of festivities included family and friends from far and near as they celebrated "from Baron to Baram." Alayna was accompanied by her sister Zoe Baron as Maid of Honor and brother Danny Baram served as Matt's best man.
