Mazel Tov Tobey Brill!
Tobey Mavrick Brill, son of Daniella and Dr. Keith Brill, will be called to the Torah to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah in March at Midbar Kodesh Temple. Tobey is now a seventh grade student at a local middle school. He started school at Temple Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center, followed by The Hebrew Academy, and then the Solomon Schecter Day School. He attended Challenger school prior to moving to Henderson.
Tobey is a Midbar Kodesh Temple USYer. His Mitzvah project is to raise funds and awareness for Comfort Cases as well as Family Promise of Las Vegas. Tobey is collecting backpacks, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, money and gifts for foster kids. A fundraising BINGO event will take place at Midbar Kodesh Temple on Sunday, March 26th from noon to 2 pm. Lunch will be served, and the entry fee will be $10 per person or $25 per family. Fabulous prizes will be given to the lucky BINGO winners.
Tobey, an avid lacrosse player, played middle for his school as well as one of the local travel teams. Tobey loves to sing and perform in front of crowds. He has sung the national anthem at The Orleans Arena for the Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball March Madness tournament and has been a featured performer at The Smith Center, the Italian American Club and the House of Blues in Las Vegas. His next public performance will be at the Italian American Club in “Happy Days 3,” where he will sing songs by Elvis Presley and Paul Anka.
Tobey is thrilled that so many family members will be traveling from both coasts for this simcha. Family from New York, Florida, Texas, and California will be in attendance. Tobey’s siblings, Kourtney and Sidney, join their parents in being very proud of Tobey’s achievements and look forward to celebrating with their brother.
