The Blessings of Community

We are blessed at Midbar Kodesh Temple to have a warm and engaging community. Our small congregation is constantly finding ways to come together in times of great joy and great sadness to be there for each other. I am reaching out this week to ask for your help over the Passover holiday. Susan and I will be away for the holiday, as we are going to visit Jonah who has been in Israel all year. Cantor Gershon will be capably overseeing all things Passover at MKT this year. Over the past couple weeks, I have been hearing from many of our regular minyanaires, those that help make sure our worship services continue seamlessly, that they will also be away for some or all of Passover. There are four days in particular, the first and last two days of Passover, when we need to make sure we have at least a quorum of ten to hold services. All four of these days fall on weekdays.

Thursday and Friday April 6th and 7th, we will hold services beginning at 9:00 AM and run until approximately 11:30 AM. The same holds for the end of the holiday Wednesday and Thursday April 12th and 13th. On the 13th we will also recite Yizkor.

I am looking to you, our dedicated congregants, to help ensure that we have at least ten each of those days. If you are able to participate, please email at cantorgershon@midbarkodesh.org

There are many mitzvot over the holiday from cleaning and koshering our houses, to attending a seder, to donating to charities, and now we can add helping to make a minyan.

Wishing everyone a Chag Kasher V’samayach – A happy and healthy Passover.
