Mazel Tov Grads!

Brianna Borden

Brianna is a graduating senior at Las Vegas Academy and will be attending UNLV later this year. She is the daughter of longtime Midbar Kodesh Temple members Michael and Leslie Silverstein. Brianna is a former Midbar Kodesh Temple Religious School student who celebrated her Bat Mitzvah here in 2014.

Marcos Banchik

Marcos graduated this month with a dual degree in Computer Science and Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, New York. Marcos will begin work with Facebook in August of this year. He is the son of longtime members and past president Carlos Banchik and Adriana Banchik and the younger brother of Anna Banchik who also graduates this year.

Ariel Goussak

Ariel graduated this month from George Mason University's Honors College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She will be spending the summer in Portland, Oregon dancing with the Northwest Dance Project and pursuing a career in dance performance and choreography. She is the daughter of longtime members Greg Goussak and Cindy Goussak, past president and current board member.

Daniel Lampert

Daniel Lampert will be graduating from Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas this year. He is the youngest son of Midbar Kodesh Temple members Dr. Robert Lampert and Dr. Randi Lampert. He will begin attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio this August.

Anna Banchik

Anna graduates this summer with a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University at Austin, Texas. She will work at Microsoft this summer and begins full-time employment at Facebook in October. Anna is the daughter of longtime MKT members and past President Carlos Banchik and his wife Adrianna Banchik. Earlier this year she announced her engagement to Joseph "Joj" Helfer.

Captain Jacob A. Green

Congratulations to Captain Jacob A. Green, USA, on his graduation from Arizona State University’s MBA program. Jacob is a first generation Midbar Kodesh Temple member and one of the synagogue’s first Bar Mitzvahs. He was also a member of MKT’s USY. Jacob was an honor graduate from Coronado High School, and attended Syracuse University under an Army ROTC scholarship. Captain Green served two combat tours in Afghanistan and has recently been promoted to Major. Jacob is the son of Steven and Laurie Green, one of the original families of Midbar Kodesh Temple. Both Laurie & Steven served on the Board of Directors and Steven was a past president of the synagogue. Jacob is married to the former Rachel A. Osterman and they have one child, Samuel.
