A New Year, A New Project

With the New Year in 2018, we are inaugurating a new project for the congregation, 52 Weeks of Mitzvot. Each week during 2018 we will highlight a different mitzvah project in the community. Some weeks we will be collecting things, some weeks we will be asking for monetary contributions, other weeks we will be working hands-on at different projects. We want to show everyone how easy it is to be involved in repairing the world, Tikkun Olam.

We are kicking off the project with a wonderful Scholar in Residence weekend January 26-28. Linda Cohen, author and motivational speaker will be here to talk about her book “1000 Mitzvahs: How Small Acts of Kindness Can Heal, Inspire, and Change Your Life.” Look for information on our website and constant contact emails for information about what we have planned for the weekend.

If you have suggestions for mitzvah projects around the community that you might like us to highlight in 2018, please be in touch with Rabbi Tecktiel. We are looking forward to a year of social action and acts of loving kindness.
