Meet Miss Johanna!

Metukeem Teacher Johanna Gonzalez just completed her third year at the Midbar Kodesh Early Childhood Center, working with 18 month - 2 year olds. She said that she is "excited to continue to teach alongside dedicated and wonderful teachers" and is pleased to watch the children grow, feeling fortunate to play a role in their learning and development. Parents are consistently pleased by the learning and social emotional development that Miss Johanna encourages and supports.

Miss Johanna grew up in Los Angeles and has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Los Angeles Mission College. She brings 16 years of experience to the ECC. Miss Johanna, who "believes children learn through social interaction and exploration" is mother to 3 children, aged 6, 8 and 9.

Miss Johanna will be joined by teaching assistant Marisa Rosenthal Kohen in the 18 month to 2 year old class.
