She will begin working for RTI International, a nonprofit research institute in Boston. Leah earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles in Diplomacy and World Affairs. Midbar Kodesh Temple has never closed. One of my colleagues recently posted a note on his Facebook page about our current predicament. Rabbi Josh Heller noted that maybe people have been asking, “when are we going to open the synagogue again?” I too have had many people reach out and ask that very same question. Their children Noah, Chase and Dax, younger brothers to Drew, are graduates of Midbar Kodesh Temple's Early Childhood Center. Midbar Kodesh Temple members Jonathan and Dayna Eisen have been members of Midbar Kodesh Temple since their 2018 wedding, but their Midbar Kodesh roots go deeper than than that, as three generations of Eisens go back to when Midbar Kodesh Temple became a synagogue. Jonathan arrived in Las Vegas when he was 3 years old, when his parents, Andy and Diane Eisen, returned home after medical studies took the family to Chicago, Illinois and Scottsdale, Arizona.
