Kadima
The first thing you notice about Kadima is a bunch of 4th through 6th graders having fun. We go bowling, play laser tag, eat pizza – all great ways to get to know other Kadima Kids at MKT in the community. But that’s not all. We make the world a better place through social action/tikkun olam, and we get to go to Kadima Kinnus weekends at Camp Ramah.

USY
Something awesome is always going on when we teens get together. Social Action/Tikkun Olam is part of our world as we learn about our community, the needs of others, and how we can make a difference.  Israel Awareness helps us understand and feel connected with our family there.  Spirit and spirituality are key.  And we have a ton of fun.  It's really a blast when we’re with our regional Jewish family at a Kinnus. Imagine 200 teens, just like us! Now imagine yourself there with us!  Click here for more on MKT's USY.

Sisterhood
Like an oasis in the desert, Sisterhood makes everything at MKT flourish. There’s always a good time when we plan synagogue events. Our KOACH moms make sure MKT’s college students stay connected. And for ourselves, book club, mahjong, knitting, and more give us those true sisterhood moments. Click here to learn more.
Join the ladies of Sisterhood every Monday at 1pm for Mahjong at MKT.

Men’s Club
We’re a great group of guys who do everything from building the MKT Sukkah to hosting baseball night at Cashman Field to organizing the World Wide Wrap. We sponsor our USY group and Scout Troop 713. And we team up with Sisterhood and Hazak to pull off the Annual Meeting BBQ, the spring picnic, and holiday dinners for the congregation.

Hazak
We call it “USY for Seniors” (55+). On the social side, we get together for dinner, the theater, cards, or just great conversation. Even in retirement, there’s plenty on our minds, so we invite speakers on everything from Israel to Medicare to estate planning. And we like to do our part for the next generation of our MKT family so we take on projects like the award-winning Library Judaica we established for the congregation.

Chavurot
When we match families with each other to create extended families, everyone feels like they’ve come home. Holiday celebrations are more meaningful and fun, and Jewish life is enriched for everyone from the babies to the Bubbes.

Mitzvah Brigade
Tikkun Olam takes on even greater meaning when you share it with friends and family. It’s fun and fulfilling! Sort items at the food bank, serve meals in community kitchens, collect food, books, shoes and clothing, read to school children, clean up community spaces, and more. Come for an hour or a day, once a week or once a year – as we help create a better world and connect to our community.

Children of Holocaust Survivors
A group for the children of Holocaust Survivors is being formed in Las Vegas.  Their first project will be to help Children of Holocaust Survivors to register with Yad Vashem online at http://www1.yadveshem.org/yv/en/downloads/survivors_registration_forms.asp
Those who have lost family and friends in the Shoah can go to the Yad Vashem website and fill out a Page of Testimony form.  Help is available for survivors who do not use computers to fill out the form.  (This is not a survivor testimony; it is only a short form collecting basic information on Holocaust victims.)
For more information or for help in registering contact Esther at 702-476-4631.
